Home prices drop again

According to the Standard & Poor’s Case Shiller index, home prices in the 19 of the 20 largest cities in the United States drop since September 2011.  The index slipped 1.2 percent and fell 3.4 percent compared with October 2010.  This is the second straight month that home and condo prices dropped suggesting that the home prices will continue to decline.  The worst city was Atlanta which saw a decline of 5% in October and 11.7% over the past 12 months.  Chicago was consistent with the national average.  It should be noted that each individual city will see different patterns and that the index is a national average.
